What to expect

Your part in the settlement process.

01

Confirm the transaction

We discuss the property, contract and timing, then confirm the proposed scope, fees and engagement arrangements. Tell us early about a linked sale or purchase, an estate or an approaching deadline.

02

Verify identity and authority

After engagement, we explain the identity checks, client authorisation and evidence needed for your matter. If you are acting for a company, an estate or another person, tell us so the authority requirements can be considered.

03

Prepare and coordinate

Within the agreed scope, we coordinate documents, settlement figures and the electronic workspace with the other representative and relevant lenders. Your lender may also need loan or mortgage-discharge documents completed before it is ready.

04

Check readiness and confirm completion

We explain the funds and information you need to provide and how to provide them securely. Settlement depends on the required parties, documents and funds being ready. We confirm completion and explain any remaining registration or follow-up steps.

A useful starting point

Prepare the details you already know.

For your initial enquiry, share the property suburb, whether you are buying or selling, the contract stage and any known finance or settlement date. If a lender or broker is involved, let us know.

You do not need to upload identity documents or provide bank details to request a quote. Once engaged, wait for the confirmed secure method and instructions for supplying documents and arranging funds.

Not every transaction follows the same electronic process. We will discuss the arrangements relevant to your matter. For an urgent deadline, call 0406 967 053.
