- No. Buying Australian property does not grant a visa, permanent residence or citizenship. Assess immigration eligibility separately from the purchase.
- Can a foreign investor buy an established home?
- Foreign investors are generally prohibited from purchasing established dwellings from 1 April 2025 to 30 June 2029, subject to limited exceptions. Buyer status, property type and approval requirements must be checked before signing.
